Toronto's food news headlines are heating up, the city's best patios are bumping and the new Toronto restaurant openings are rolling in. It's the best time of year to be in the city soaking up every delicious bite and sip — especially when some of the best restaurants in Toronto are offering limited-time, summer specials. Pretty soon prix-fixe menus will be popping up all over the city for Summerlicious next month, which is one more great excuse to get out and enjoy.
While it's not exactly Toronto food news, the FIFA World Cup is the biggest buzz right now. With the influx of tourists it promises to (maybe?) bring into the city to pay the exorbitant ticket prices that are making Torontonians choke, planning ahead and booking your reservations well in advance is the best bet right now. On top of that, street festivals like Do West Fest and Taste of Little Italy are shutting down main arteries for whole weekends at a time. (It's going to be a hoofing it around on foot kind of summer for me.)
But the sun is shining, the grills are sizzling, the Jelly Kings are cold (and come in a whole new lineup of alc and non-alc iterations) and the most exciting Toronto food news stories are here to keep us entertained all summer long.
