The plush atmosphere at Nobu Restaurant Toronto — with its soaring ceilings, whimsical chandeliers and combination of light wood and dark stone — isn't the kind of place you would expect to find a buffet. But the gorgeous restaurant makes the all-you-can-eat extravaganza as elegant as possible.
Trays of nigiri dolloped with special sauces, like tuna with wasabi salsa and salmon with ponzu, are arranged meticulously. Maki rolls topped with fish are lined up shoulder to shoulder. Chefs buzz around like bees, rearranging the glistening spread to look appetizing at every moment.
At the hot station, buttery black cod nestled in a little bed of lettuce is the highlight, alongside wagyu beef skewers and tangy seafood-laden noodles. There's a lot to taste, from buffet brunch specialties from a carving station and scrambled eggs to bowls of sesame cold noodles topped with shrimp. Side dishes like roasted carrots, potatoes and brussels sprouts round out the offerings.
The dessert table is overflowing with red bean mochi, crème brûlée, cheesecake, Earl Grey très leches and more.
To make the occasion extra special, there's a whole list of brunch cocktails, like the Nobu Cooler, a booze-forward, tropical mixture of rum, Campari, yuzu and pineapple. On the non-alc side, the Sakura Spritzer mocktail is a refreshing, slightly sweet serve that pairs well with every bite of the luxurious buffet.
