The Civil Pours patio pop-up is slinging cocktails on tap

Touted as one of the best bars in Canada, Civil Liberties has gained plenty of notoriety for its creative cocktails — all whipped up on the fly without the use of a menu. Now you can get a taste of their creations in a more structured but equally ephemeral way. From Nick Kennedy, co-owner of Civil Liberties, comes Civil Pours, a pop-up patio slinging exceptional premade cocktails.

Until September 10, stop by Wednesday to Friday, 6 p.m. to midnight; Saturdays from 2 p.m. to midnight; or Sundays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. to sip their ready-to-pour kegged cocktails. Try an old fashioned, espresso martini, margarita or whisky sour — all available on tap. You may have tasted some of them before — Civil Pours supplies bars like Cactus Club, Drake Hotel, Fairmont Royal York, King Taps and The Rec Room with their premade cocktails on tap.

The 50-seat enclosed patio pop-up also features a non-alcoholic option and a snack menu. Shop their premade cocktails in the bottle shop if you'd rather enjoy them at home — or perhaps in one of the Toronto parks where drinking is now legal.
