Break out your summer whites for an al fresco block party in the newly rejuvenated Jordan Village. The Town of Lincoln and partner Inn on the Twenty invite you to a night of delicious, locally-inspired food; Niagara wines; live music; and dancing. The party starts at 5:30 p.m. with DJ Tanner and continues to 11 p.m. with a live performance from Eric Price of Broken Cadence.

You can bring your own picnic and just pay the price of admission — $54.50 per person reserves your seat at a shared table with locally-inspired decor, cutlery and glasses for wine and water. But we guarantee you'll be green with envy when you see other guests digging into the provided picnic baskets from chef Pete Tindall of Inn on the Twenty.

For $114.50 per person, start with house-made fresh butter and bread, followed by a selection of local cheeses from Upper Canada with chutneys, pickles and spreads. Take a bite out of the region's delicious produce with a grilled Niagara peach salad topped with Stilton blue cheese, roasted pecans and aged balsamic. For your main course, the Fiesta Bowl is full of roasted chicken breast and a quinoa brown rice blend with black bean corn salsa, pico de gallo and chipotle dressing. Cap off the meal with a sweet selection of mini desserts: fruit crumble, a lemon tart, macrons and a butter tart.

Pouring wine with dinner at the Benchlands Blanc Party in Jordan Village

Red, white and sparkling wines from the Niagara region are available by the bottle (all ranging from $35–$45) from Creekside, Cave Spring, Sue-Ann Staff and Foreign Affair. Or mix and match for $10 per single serving.

Non-imbibers can enjoy a bottle of Oddbird Blanc de Blanc, a non-alcoholic sparkling wine, for $15. And if you get tired of wine, Bench Brewing Co. and Niagara Cider Company have cans for $8 or four for $28.

We recommend skipping the late-night drive back to the city, and adding on an overnight stay at Inn on the Twenty so you can keep the drinks flowing and the party going.
