Every year, people flock to bars with kitschy decor for green pints, but these raucous parties don't really celebrate anything other than an excuse to get overly... silly. In truth, Ireland is a country with a rich culture and breathtaking natural beauty.

It's this authentic, raw beauty that's at the heart of Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey. It's where romantic, rugged cliff sides meet lush landscapes in every shade of green, and forests of Irish oak trees tower overhead with roots that reach deep into the earth and stretch back for centuries. What better way to celebrate Ireland than through the embodiment of the island's natural beauty — a uniquely Irish whiskey that's rooted in nature.

Pot still whiskey, with its lusciously creamy texture and signature spice, is exclusive to Ireland. The style is defined by its mash bill: both malted and unmalted barley, distilled in traditional copper pot stills. Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey is then aged in ex-bourbon barrels, which impart soft vanilla and caramel notes before being finished in slow-toasted Irish oak.

Revered by the ancient Celts as sacred embodiments of wisdom, strength and endurance, Irish oaks surround Glendalough Distillery in Wicklow, Ireland, where the maritime climate allows these old giants to grow faster than European Oak, developing deep rings that give the whisky more flavour. Each tree is carefully selected and felled under a Continuous Cover Forest Management System, and seven saplings are planted in its place to preserve and regenerate Ireland's forest, all while crafting a whiskey that holds the essence of Wicklow in every glass.

On each bottle of Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey, you'll see an illustration that honours the way life is intertwined with and dependent on the oak trees through the incorporation of the Dara Knot. Named from the Irish word for oak tree, this ancient Celtic symbol of intertwined roots and branches represents the unending cycle of life, death and rebirth.

The Irish oak deepens Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey with layers of rich spice, toasted wood and silky tannins. It's chewy, warm and buttery in the glass, with notes of pear and cinnamon. On the palate, a long, creamy vanilla finish leaves a lingering taste of forest fruit and Irish oak on your taste buds. Even if you've never been to Ireland, you'll swear you can feel the spirit of its natural, windswept beauty. Now that's worth raising a glass to.
